HOW ELSE IS VEGAS SONG IS DIFFERENT?
Vegas Song gives YOU a platform to build a NATIONWIDE following over several months—even before judging begins. Unlike other competitions, you won’t have to travel (until the Live Shows in Las Vegas) and pay for rooms and meals at your own expense just to get one brief audition.
If you reach the TOP 40 and come to Las Vegas to compete, there will be no celebrity panels or live judges. Instead you get to let it rip like a true Vegas entertainer in front of a live audience in an amazing venue. THE TOP 3 WIN CASH PRIZES. $100,000, $50,000 and $25,000 respectfully.
Vegas Song is an Audacious Adventure to defeat hunger. 1 in 6 American children suffer from food insecurity. Your mission is to invite everyone to join us on a “Hero’s Journey” from Fan to Donor To Hero. That’s why our motto is, “Everybody Wins, Everybody’s a Hero. Fans who buy $100 or more in votes to support you AND the hungry during the campaign will achieve “Hero Status” and enter into a realm of discounted tickets and rooms, preferred seating, VIP upgrades and much, much more.*
* Depending on the level of giving.
VEGAS SONG IS A 21st CENTURY FUNDRAISER
No matter where voters live across the country, when they buy votes they choose which food bank to support, including in their own state and/or community! They also may allow Feeding American to decide where the needs are greatest.
Vegas Song voters get even more choices. When you apply, pick your top four musical genres (in order). Fans can select contestants just in their state or any other state. They can also select their favorite genre of music. An R&B fan in Ohio can search for R&B singers in Ohio! Or they can search for R&B singers in the entire country, or all singers in any state. What does this mean for you? Fans you want to reach WILL FIND YOU!
WHAT DO I ABSOLUTELY NEED TO KNOW?
You MUST READ and AGREE to ALL Rules and Terms & Conditions before you sign the agreement. Vegas Song is NOT responsible if you knowingly or unknowingly fail to meet our qualifications or violate any of our terms. Here are the basics:
- You must be 18 years of age or older on the day you apply.
- There is no upper age limit.
- You must be a U.S. citizen residing in the United States.
- You must not be under any contract that prohibits you from applying.
- You must submit these items:
- A copy of a current photo ID.
- A recent color photo of you for your profile. Alterations (digital or otherwise), masks or anything that obscures your image are not permitted.
- Your audition video (2 minutes or less). Do your BEST!
- A brief invitation video from you to fans to buy more votes to help you and feed the hungry in their community.*
- Another brief video thanking fans for voting for you.*
- Your non-refundable $100 application fee.
- Provide your t-shirt size (S/M/L/XL).
- You will be taken to a page to select your items and have an opportunity to purchase additional Vegas Song merchandise which would come in the same shipment.
- Once your application has processed you’ll be assigned a Contestant Number.**
- The TOP 40 must pass a background check and drug test.
SCRIPT GUIDELINES AND EXAMPLES:
“Thank you so much for your voting for me! Please consider buying more votes to support me. Your funds will feed the hungry in your state or community!”
Thank voters AFTER they purchase votes for you. Tell them they can vote for you multiple times during the campaign. (Voters will also have access to a helpful explainer video to see how the entire voting process works). Again, be brief, address ONE person. Put it in your own words!
“Thank you for buying votes for me! Many hungry children will also be grateful. Remember, you can buy votes for me AND help the cause as often as you like during the Vegas Song campaign.”
**You will be listed on the website IN THE ORDER YOUR APPLICATION IS RECEIVED, the sooner you apply, the better!
HOW DOES THE COMPETITION WORK?
There are FIVE rounds to the Vegas Song Talent Competition.
PRELIMINARIES – For approximately three months, your goal is to build a following that will put you in the TOP 1000 in vote getters. Direct as many people as you can to www.vegassong.com to vote for you. Let fans know: when they buy for votes for you100% of that money goes to support the cause: feeding the hungry—in their own communities!
JUDGING ROUND – Our professional judges score the TOP 1000 to select the TOP 40.* They will be required to apply same standards for ALL contestants. This round lasts about a month. Fans can still vote to help you rise in the rankings. This is critical because after the judges are done we will award (a few ) more points on a descending scale from the highest to lowest vote getters. This process allow many contestants an opportunity to advance while rewarding those who worked hard to get votes and raise money for the cause.
*Those ranked 41 – 50 will be notified as alternates.
QUARTERFINALS – The TOP 40 will come to Las Vegas to compete in Live Shows. Five singers per week for eight weeks. One winner each week will return for the semifinals.
Vegas Song will cover your expenses, including airfare, rooms, meals and more.
SEMIFINALS – The eight winners from each week return for the Finals.
FINALS – The TOP 3 remain in Las Vegas to compete and participate in other activities.
ALL VENUES AND DETAILS AND DATES WILL BE ANNOUNCED IN THE NEAR FUTURE.
HOW DOES VOTING WORK?
- Voters create an account and password and log in.
- Voters must opt in to receive tax-deductible receipts and special discounts as well as promotions from sponsors, both in their own location and nationwide.
- Voters then see the contestant list (side by side on desktop, single file on mobile).
- Voters can search for you by your Contestant Number.
- Voters can search contestants by any combination of State And Musical Genres.
- Voters can select as many favorites FAVORITES (no vote cast).
- Voters can select ONE FREE VOTE for as many contestants as they like.
- Voters can BUY MORE VOTES for multiple contestants, multiple time during the campaign (as long as they are active. If a contestant drops out, is eliminated or disqualified their profile will appear shaded. The reasons will not be made known).
- $5 buys 5 votes $10 buys 10 votes. $25 buys 50, and so on. $1 buys for 3 meals!
- When logging in again, they can choose to view their favorites only, those they gave a free vote to and those they bought votes for at the top of the contestant roster.
- There will be a tally showing their total votes, dollars raised and progress on their personal “Hero’s Journey.”
- Voter selections will be saved for future logins.
- Voters decide where their funds go: a food bank in their own community, another food bank or they can let Feeding America decide where help is most needed.
- You can buy votes for yourself (see your dashboard).
- If eliminated, you and your fans will know they helped a lot of hungry people. You’ll receive a report showing how many votes you received and how much you raised.
- The Vegas Song Campaign will not sell anyone’s information.
- Fans who buy votes may receive a thank you email from their local food bank and/or parent organization and sponsors.
HOW DO I GET FANS TO VOTE FOR ME?
- Submit an absolutely AWESOME audition video, story and photo.
- OUR JUDGES will review the same things fans do to determine the TOP 40.
- Create your own personal campaign on Social Media by directing family, friends and fans to your profile on vegassong.com to vote for you.
- Encourage them to reach out to their family and friends!
- Tell them, “BUYING VOTES FOR ME FEEDS THE HUNGRY—in your community!”
- Post Vegas Song related content on your social media, create your own events, wear your Vegas Song contestant shirt and other merchandise (you will get the option to purchase more when applying).
- Always have your Vegas Song business cards with you to hand out profusely.
- Get local media to do a story about you and the Vegas Song Campaign.
- Volunteer at your nearest food bank to boost your profile.
- Tell fans about merchandise sales at vegassong.com/merchandise.
- Sign up for emails from Vegas Song—that’s how we communicate with you.
- Follow us on social media. Tag!
- More announcements and tips will come during the Vegas Song Campaign.

- Listen to the Vegas Song on KUNV 91.5, every 2nd Sunday, 9:30 to 10:00 a.m. PST.

CONTESTANT UPDATES AFTER 30 DAYS
In the first 30 days, contestants will be listed in the order applications are received. After 30 days, the list will change to rankings by the number of votes received. Growing your fan base early is the key to a high ranking! Rankings will be updated daily at 12:01 a.m. PST.

APPLICATION/TERMS AND CONDITIONS
As a Vegas Song Contestant, I certify that I am at least 18 years of age and a resident citizen of the United States. I understand my $100 application fee is non-refundable, regardless of any circumstances. I understand that 100% of the funds I raise through votes for me on (www.vegassong.com) go to support the fight against hunger in the United States and that I am not entitled to these funds. I certify I am not constrained by any contract; nor am I committed to any cause or organization that would prohibit me from participating in Vegas Song, nor any other activities that may present a conflict of interest with the Vegas Song Campaign. Should I be selected as a finalist I certify that I am able to travel to Las Vegas for my designated dates to perform. I acknowledge that presenting false or misleading information in any form to Vegas Song Inc, its staff or official sources are grounds for disqualification. I agree that the Vegas Song competition may use my image and/or likeness in the promotion of the Vegas Song Campaign without compensation. I understand that if I choose to show my full name on my contestant profile that Vegas Song is not responsible for any injury or harm that comes from a 3rd party who becomes aware of me through the Vegas Song competition. I understand that as a contestant of the Vegas Song Campaign I may not use Vegas Song to promote any separate causes or organizations of any kind, regardless of affiliation or otherwise and that doing so will be grounds for elimination and possible legal remedies. I agree that I will cooperate with Vegas Song executives, staff, support staff when and where directed and failure to do so is ground for disqualification. I further acknowledge that if I voluntarily withdraw, am eliminated or am disqualified I may not re-enter the competition, fans will no longer be able to vote for me, and my application fee will not be refunded. Regardless of circumstance, I understand that my profile will still appear but will be darkened and show, “This contestant is no longer available.” Further, I understand that Vegas Song will not divulge the reason for my departure from the campaign, I agree to contact Vegas Song Inc should I choose to withdraw voluntarily. I understand that I must conduct my own campaign to grow my following and get others to vote for me. I understand that Vegas Song Inc will not promote me or any other contestants. I understand that the Vegas Song designated talent agent has first right of refusal to represent me for entertainment opportunities and that I must advise Vegas Song Inc of any existing contracts I have that may conflict with my ability to engage in such representation. I understand I have the right to decline representation. I certify that I will not engage in offensive or abusive behavior or language. I further acknowledge that my official guests must abide by these Rules, and that such behavior could result my disqualification, ejection, criminal prosecution and other possible legal remedies. I agree to immediately notify Vegas Song Inc of changes in my location, contact information or changes in status affecting my ability to participate.
